SS501 will participate Korea-China Exchange Special Commemorative Concert's
congratulatory performance in Shanghai
For a duration of 184 days, the Shanghai world expo's Republic of Korea Pavilion will present a series of wonderful performance activities.
Other than the traditional Korea performances the most special event will be the Korea Music Festival which will start from 30 May. It has scheduled to invite Jang Nara, Super Junior, BoA, f(x), BEAST and other Korean and China artists, holding a 18,000 person performance in the Cultural Centre.
Other than that, for the Korea-China exchange Special Commemorative Concert (15 August) in China
include a memoir of late musician(composer) Jeong Yul Seong's 'Jeong Yul Seong International Music Festival' together with a celebration performance represented by SS501 and other Hanryu Star.

On 14-Nov night, Korean idol group SS501 held their 2009 PERSONA ASIA TOUR concert in Shanghai HongKou Stadium. 5 members namely, Kim HyunJoong, Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong, Park JungMin and Kim HyungJoon not only sang the hit songs of SS501, each of them also had solo performances, presenting a perfect performance for their fans.
Their enthusiastic opening performance made the first climax of the concert.
5 members came out with gold army suits, performing dance songs ‘Déjà vu’, ‘Unlock’ and ‘Warning’, making the first climax in the concert. Even though these songs are classic hit songs which fans are very familiar with, they remix the song and re-choreographed the dance, making it a refreshing change. Something worth a mention is that, when the members introduced themselves, Heo YoungSaeng changed his nickname from ‘Prince’ to ‘Bad Boy’ for the very first time, going towards the bad boy image.

After 3 songs, SS501 reappeared on stage with Fuchsia pink tops, performing ‘4 Chance’ and ‘Song calling for you’. 5 members danced in close contact with the female dancers, making the crowd go wild. And the members also remembered the time when they first had their concert in Shanghai, where they revealed the song ‘Song calling for you’ for the very first time. Park JungMin said “Shanghai fans really know how to choose songs, which is why ‘Song calling for you’ became so popular.”
Members’ solo, each with their own style. Audience sing-along to ‘Friends’
Besides the enthusiastic singing and dancing, the members also performed solo performances of their own style. Kim HyungJoon’s hot and sexy ‘Hey G’, Kim KyuJong’s handsome ‘Never let you go’ and ‘Wuss up’, Heo YoungSaeng’s touching ballad ‘Nameless memory’, Kim HyunJoong overcoming the cold weather, ripped off his top during the performance of ‘Please be nice to me’, showing his sexy hot body. And besides performing ‘Only me’, Park JungMin specially learnt Chinese for these Chinese fans, and sang ‘friends’, making all the audience sing along with him.

After a short break, the 5 members reappears with ‘5 men 5 color’ suits, bringing 2 ballad songs ‘Never again’ and ‘Boys over flowers’ OST song ‘Because I am Stupid’. Kim KyuJong talked about the webtoon drama ‘SETI’ which he acted in, indicating that he will bring even better works in the near future. And during the performance of ‘U R MAN’ by the unit group consisting of Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong and Kim HyungJoon, Kim HyunJoong and Park Jungmin came on stage as vampires, the ‘gun shot’ dance with ‘unit’ bring upon a ‘5 in 1’ special version of ‘U R MAN’.

In the last segment of concert, SS501 performed the new songs from their new mini album ‘Rebirth’, namely ‘Only one day’, ‘Green Peas’, ‘Love Like This’ which just won the 1st place in ‘Music Bank’, as well as ‘Crazy 4 U’ which was not released yet. And during the encore performance, the 5 members kept saying ‘thank you’ and ‘see you next year’ in mandarin, making the fans touched by it and looks forward to their return next year with an even more exciting concert.

Each time Kim Hyun Joong appear on stage, the fans will screamed his name and a few fans told the reporter that these shouts and screams sent their best wishes to Kim Hyun Joong

Although it was a chilly winter night, the 5 members had a few different outfits and even wore a sleeveless top on stage. Their wish is :" Let's share this winter night together."
Member's cute mandarin expressions
After a long wait, the music came and fans screamed. With the turn of the green light to spot light and then to blue, the fans held their breathe awaiting for their idols to appear. When the backdrop cloth fell , the 5 members appear on the electronic screen and fans started shouting out their favourite member's name and finally the 5 members appear on stage as though it is a dream come true for the fans. In the 2nd song, they wore a mask which seemed to let the fans feel as though they were in a masquerade party.
Same as the past Shanghai concert, the 5 members spoke some mandarin , " Hello everyone, We are SS501!" and then the 5 members used mandarin to introduce themselves, " Hello everyone, I am Jung Min", " Hello everyone, I am Hyung Joon"," Hello everyone, I am Hyun Joong", " Hello everyone, I am Young Saeng", " Hello everyone, I am Kyu Jong" which brought up screams after each introduction. Fans also held LED boards to give support to the members.
During the breaks, the members will ask : " Are you all happy?"" Are you all Happy?" Although their mandarin is not very smooth but it made all the fans felt so heart warming.
Singing of Friends
The one who jokes the most, Park Jung Min always made the fans laugh and smile. When the other members are speaking, he will pout his mouth like a kiss and using positioning techniques to make it seemed like a real kiss on the screen. while giving the 'kiss', he even peeked on the screen to see if it has gave the funny impact. Looking at this cute action, the fans shouted " Kawaii (cute), one more kiss". He did not disappoint the fans and pouted his lips again to give a few more kisses.
Although it is a group, but there were solo performances as well. When it is Park Jung Min's turn, he smiled warmly and greeted the fans in mandarin . But after a while, he forgot what he wanted to say. The blur him giggled and then took out a little note and finished what he wanted to say. Fans kept shouting " Kawaii!" despite the errors.
Although the mandarin wasnt very smooth, Park Jung Min's chinese song was rather good. He sang Zhou Hua Jian's and it was filled with deep feelings. The whole stadium sang along with him " friends will walk together for a lifetime". He even managed to mimick how the singer forgets his lyrics's charactieristic , the mimic was really good.
Kim Hyun Joong has recovered from H1N1
Kim Hyun Joong who grew in popularity due to the role of Yoon Ji Hoo in BOF and also who leads popular band SS501, contracted H1N1 in Japan earlier but has now recovered.
The reporters interviewed some fans and they said they are happy to see a healthy Kim Hyun Joong back on stage. Earlier, he missed out alot of SS501's activities and after the incident, this is his 1st time appearing in China but the reporter still thinks that he seemed to be abit exhausted still but his mood is good. Many a times he even play around with the fans. One fan told the reporter: " I dont usually watch concert, although I like SS501 alot but I did not attend their previous concert. This time because of the news of Kim Hyun Joong had contraced H1N1, it made me anxious. This time I specially bought tickets in order to take a look at him. As long as I can see him healthy on the stage for myself, I will then be relieved."
In the concert, the main theme of BOF was definitely the climax of the concert. A girl fan told the reporter:" I hope he will always be healthy, handsome and young. " Each time Kim Hyun Joong appeared on stage, the whole stadium would shout his name with passion. Some fans said that these shouts brought along their best wishes for him.

I posted yesterday about the scary incident at Shanghai Pudong airport when the SS501 were on their way back to Seoul. Below is a video taken by a fan and you can clearly see the chaos and raucous send off our boys were in. OMG! Somebody even grabbed Jung Min by his shirt and Hyun Joong even looked flustered. In contrast, I have added the serene arrival they had at the Incheon International Airport. I'm so glad that they all looked alright and not miffed by the previous incident.

I know I am eating my words from my previous post. I said that'll be the last set of photos. But who can resist after seeing Young Saeng's photo with a cap? I got weak on my knees (I got a thing for guys with dimples) and my mouse just can't be controlled and simply went on clicking and clicking. I know some of Young Saeng's photos were out of focus, but still I can see the real beauty behind it. The other set of photos of Leader were really good. I wonder where the photographer was situated during the concert - or has he really got that long prime lens? (me so envious) So let's make it an even 10 set of photos from the Shanghai Persona concert.

We all know how goodlooking the boys are even with all the sweat and puffing and huffing. I just have to post this batch, because of the partial jittjoong. I still have to see the best jittjoong photo. I know there's not much this time as it was quick and sweetly short - it was cold that night and in an open air venue.
