일본 제작자와 기자들이 있는 테이블에 앉게 되었습니다.
Instead I sat on the table with the Japanese writers and broadcasting people.

일본의 한류잡지 기자, 일본 드라마작가등이 저와 함께 한 테이블에 앉은 사람들이었지요.
And Japan's Hanryu magazine journalist, Japanese drama scriptwriters etc; We all sat at one same table.
그런데 일본 케이블티비 프로듀서와 한류잡지 기자는 여자분이어서 쉽게 친해졌어요.
But because the Japanese cable TV producer & the Hanryu magazine journalist is a female, we got close in no time.
그래서 이야기를 나누다가 제가 평소 궁금했던 점을 물어보았지요.^^
So, we shared talks together and I took hold of the chance to ask my curiosity.^^
김현중이 일본에서 어느정도 인기있냐고 물어보았더니,
I asked how is Kim Hyunjoong's popularity like in Japan,

잡지사에서 김현중 인터뷰 스케쥴을 잡는게 하늘의 별따기만큼 어렵다고 한숨을 쉬더군요.
While the magazine publisher said, it's as difficult to grab hold of KHJ's interviewing schedule just like it is to grab the stars in the skies, as he sighed.
그 잡지사는 [아이리스]배우들의 사진과 인터뷰만으로 책을 펴내 판매도 한다며 제게 보여주더군요.
That magazine publisher then showed us their photographs and interviews with IRIS casts which was on sale too.
그리고 기존의 한류스타중에서도 최고는 역시 배용준인데
Also, amongst the existing hanryu stars, the highest status is no doubt BYJ. (^^for some sisters out there)
2등과 3등의 차이가 3계단이라면,
If we say there are 3 levels between the 2nd and 3rd position,
배용준과 2등의 차이는 20계단 쯤 될 정도로 차이가 크다고 하더군요.
then BYJ and the 2nd position will have a difference of 20 levels (!!), which is huge.
그리고 요즘 일본에서 인기있는 한국 드라마는
In addition, the popular Kdramas that is popular in Japan recently are,
[찬란한 유산]과 [미남이시네요]인데
"Brilliant legacy" and "You're beautiful"
(YB also so far sold the highest number of Kdrama DVD copies in Jp so far)
이승기는 이 드라마로 이제 겨우 일본에 이름을 알린 정도의 인지도이고
because of this drama, Lee Seunggi has popularity in Japan where his name is now passingly enough to be recognizable
그에 비해 이홍기와 정용화 등의 인기는 매우 가파르게 올라가고 있는 추세라고 하더군요.
And as compared to him, Lee Hongki and Jung Yonghwa instead has steeper & faster rising fame there in Japan.
그리고 일본 케이블 한류드라마 구매담당 프로듀서는 초대를 받아
Also, the producer of the japanese cable tv who is in charge of airing hanryu dramas in their channel received an invitation to attend today's event
김현중의 꽃남동창회를 갔었는데,
She actually went to the BoF alumni event,
거기서 김현중이 춤과 노래하는 것을 보고 깜짝 놀랐답니다.
She was quite surprised at KHJ's dance and singing.
생각보다 너무 노래와 춤을 잘해서요..
It was more than her expectation; he did much better in his singing and dancing..
그리고 그에게서 뿜어져 나오는 아우라가 동창회에 참석한 다른 분들과는 비교가 되지않을만큼
His aura profused, and he couldn't be compared to other casts who attended the alumni event, to that extend
월등히 뛰어났다고 감탄하더군요...
A really huge difference he protruded that made her gasp...
이야기를 듣고 있자니 너무나 뿌듯하고 저절로 엄마미소가...^^
After hearing, I was so very proud that I unknowingly broke into my omma-smile...^^
그래서 전 제가 김현중 팬임을 밝히며 핸드폰 배경화면을 보여줬지요.
and then I revealed the fact that I'm a KHJ fan, and showed her my handphone wallpaper.
그랬더니 그분들이 환하게 웃으며 저보고 [김현중이 아들이네요]하더군요..^^
Because of that, she laughed brightly afterwards, "KHJ's a kid ne" like that to me..^^

그날 밤, 전 다른 모든 유혹을 물리치고 호텔방에서 [장난스런키스]를 닥본사했습니다.
That night, after resisting all my temptations, I returned to my hotel room to catch Jangki live.
닥본사하고 느낀 점은, 역시 이드라마는 작가와 연출의 문제가 너무 크다는 것...
My feeling downright there and then was, this drama really has a huge problem with its scriptwriting and production team...
에피소드가 너무 산만하고 연출이 너무 느리고 만화적으로 과장되어 있는 것이
Episodes are very loose in itself and composition speed is so slow, and many exaggerations in the manhwa-form...
이 드라마의 치명적인 단점이고 낮은 시청률의 이유입니다.
...is this drama's fatal-ing achilles' heal, which caused low ratings.
다음날 아침, 호텔식당에서 아침을 먹는데
The next morning, I went to eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant
에이트의 드라마를 썼던 작가와 동석했습니다.
I sat on the same table with Eight's scriptwriter.
본래부터 안면이 있는 작가라 에이트에 대해 물어보니
This writer had managed to sleep well the night before, so I asked her about Eight
에이트는 작품을 만들려는 회사가 아니라 돈벌려는 생각밖에 없는 제작사라고...
Eight seems to only contain thoughts that they are not the agency responsible for making the work, but instead the company to give out production fees etc...
에이트에서 제작중인 [버디버디]도 모회사에서 100%제작비 지원투자해서
Eight is also investing 100% of production fees and backup in their current work 'Buddy birdie' where another company undertakes the production work
장난스런키스는 시놉단계에서 해외판매 다하고
Jangki will be selling their drama overseas
지금 시청률 낮아도 아마 김현중때문에 별 타격없이 그대로 팔릴거라 그런지
But based on the low ratings for now, it seems like they are not so concerned and just proceeds to sell their drama overseas -- because of KHJ, seemingly
제작비 안들이려고 애쓰며 드라마를 만든다고 하더군요..
It seems like they try to make the drama without investing the production fee that way..
