[30/09] Fan Account - Saw Kim Hyun Joong @ Soon Soo
Credits: Chara@liezle.blogspot
Ok, girls, today was one of the most special days in my life.
As you know (perhaps?) I'm in Seoul at the moment. I planned going here a year ago. Actually I did apply for a practical training, where I will work as kind of tutor for Koreans to learn German. This is starting tomorrow. So, who reads me on twitter, will maybe have in mind that I tweeted in the morning: "Today is the last day to play around". (I came to Korea two weeks earlier, to get used to the country, city and people. Great idea!) So being a German SS501 fan, coming to Seoul I didn't go unprepared. I knew of some places the boys visit from time to time, for example the Beauty Saloon "Soon Soo".
I made my way there today, actually in the morning feeling like: "Should I really do this? It's not, as if there are big chances to see someone. But since I already had the address and nothing better to do anyway, I went. I searched for 2 1/2 hours to find that place. Guess what?:
I SAW HYUN JOONG THERE!!! And I got my Destination CD signed by him!!!
So now I write a Fanaccount to share.
Account:
After nearly 2 ½ hours of searching for the Saloon, I finally felt like giving up. It was SOOOO hidden… I asked already the third time. Before asking a last time I thought: You can’t give up now, you must already be really, really close. So I asked again where to find it. And I was nearly right in front of it then, 200 m left to go.
So I went there. After thinking some minutes and getting the courage I needed, I went to the counter, asking in rudimentary Korean.
“Is this ‘Soon Soo’ Beauty Saloon?”
“Yes”
“Ah… ok… uhm… Did SS501 members come here?” (her eyes were a little popping up, and I felt slightly embarrassed and uncomfortable then---)
“No, not today….”
“Ah… I see… Will they come again?”
“Yes.”
“When… will they come?”
(Then she said sth I couldn’t understand, so understanding that I couldn’t ask any further, I asked: ) “Can I take some pictures of this place?”
“Where?”
“Well.. just here”, showing the waiting room and outside.
“Yes, of course”
“Thank you very much”
I went out after this, taking pictures. A friend that came with me, told me outside: “DID YOU SEE? Cordi Noona was sitting in the waiting room!”
I didn’t see her, when I was busy talking to the counter lady, hiding my embarrassment. So I took a look at the photo I took and yes, it was her. So something weird happening on the counter made sense now: When I was talking to the lady, a man next to me asked for Kim Hyun Joong. Only hearing the name my head turned automatically, but then I had to talk again. So now, Cordi Noona was there too and we knew he must be in there, despite the Counter Lady saying nobody of them came here today… So we got our CDs ready, with Edding-pen to write on it. We waited ca.5-10 minutes, in the meantime showing ourselves like busy with the Seoul map, trying to decide what to do next. Changing places, when the counter lady could still see us.
So then he came out, accompanied by Cordi Noona and we knew, now, fast… So we stood up, went there and in the first moment I looked at his eyes, I could see he didn’t expect us to be fans or sth. Just two foreigners who had lost their way, not knowing him. =)
I placed myself in front of him saying in Korean (And that was so fluent, I myself was surprised, like a record…)
“Annyeong haseyo. We are Germans. We are your fans. Could you please sign for us?”
While saying this, I noticed two things: First, his eyes pooped up a lot, when I said we were German. He was like: ‘REALLY?’ Second, he is damn thin now, looking really tired, worn out… I hope he can get some rest soon. Really, he needs it.
Anyway, while he was standing there in comfortable outfit (gray trousers and shirt, with green adidas sports jacket on) and with no make up at all, but newly colored hair, nicely done, agreed to our request without second thought and took the CDs and pen from my hand. When he had them, my knees and hand started to shiver…He gave signed CDs back to us, and the pen, and then my hands were already so shivering I couldn’t close the pen at first attempt… I asked for a photo too, but Coordi Noona and the Beauty Salon ladies denied. So we couldn’t take a photo, thanked again and went off, when they pushed him back in the Saloon again, probably fearing more fans would come. Don’t know. Shortly after that a Keyeast Car arrived, taking him. Strangly, Coordi Nona didn’t get in. We saw her walking to a taxi. Tried to ask her for a picture, but she denied again. So we just said bye and then went into another direction…
Really, we couldn’t believe our luck. It was PURE COINCIDENCE. It wasn’t planned at all. Just this day, when we decided to go to the saloon, taking like eternities to get there, arriving at the right time on the right day, where HE is there… HOW? This can’t be planned. That was God given. Thank you Lord!
When I talked to him, I didn’t screw up, what amazed me really deeply myself. But must have been, that I didn’t have any time at all to think. In my head I just felt the “now or never” feeling.
I still don’t fully realize… All took only about a minute, seeing him, speaking to him, sign, leaving. One minute of a 24 hours day. Please imagine… also fast… It’s my third day in Seoul now… There are other things I want to tell, but these aren’t accomplished yet, so can’t. Next time maybe.
I’m still fuzzy and smiling like an idiot… I’m happy.
Even though… Leader needs rest! I worry about him a lot now… Let’s pray he will get rest soon, ok? And thanks, Lord, for the day.

SS501’s Park Jung Min reveals his official solo activities
CR: HYPERMANIAC @ allkpop + Source: Everyday Economy, Asia Economy, Donga

SS501’s Park Jung Min talked about his upcoming solo activities and confessed his feelings on his group performing as solo artists, at his official press conference on September 30th.
Park Jung Min contracted with Sony Music and revealed his future activities in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore. In addition, he has already contracted with Yamaha Music Entertainment on the 17th in order to expand his Japanese activities, making Sony Music his official distributor for the rest of Asia.
Park Jung Min is the first member of SS501 to officially announce his solo activities in Japan and the rest of Asia. Kim Kyu Jong and Heo Young Saeng are currently planning to release their own future activities as well. Fans have been wondering how the SS501 members will stay together with all of the members spread out.
In a meeting with reporters, he stated, “A long time ago, I used to think that one of the members could take my place. However, I now believe that right now is the time that our members stand on their own. A group was nice but we all chose solo activities especially for that reason. We did think about going on as five members, but I honestly don’t think that our decision not to is bad.”
- How do you feel about entering the Chinese market? “I want to be who I am, fresh and fun. It’s hard matching myself to new people but I will do my best.”
- What do you think are some of the aspects Chinese people like you for? “I’m good at getting comfortable with people and laugh easily. They probably like my friendless and my willingness to learn their language.”
- Do you have any worries? “Nothing in particular. I’m good at adjusting. However, the Chinese are very religious. As long as I adjust my lifestyle, I think I will be fine.”
- CEO Choi Jin Dong said he will be making you into an even bigger star. “I’m still lacking a lot of things but I will try my best. I feel like I’ve returned to being a student lately. The minute I wake up, I get managed from head to toe. I have to exercise, rehearse, learn languages, etc. It’s like I’m a trainee again, preparing for debut 5-6 years after I’ve already debuted.”
- Where do you want to be in a year? In five years? “Since I’m just now taking my first step, I’d like for me to advance a bit faster in a year. I want more people to take notice of me, and five years later, finally find my place. I’d also love to work with the SS501 members once a year. The members want that as well but we’re all in separate agencies. I’d like to personally set a date and actually do it but there’s two that are still trying to finalize their agency contracts.”
- You’ve gone from being a group member to a solo artist. What do you need to do for yourself? “Being without my members and staff that have been with me up to this point, it’s lonely. I’ve just now started learning Japanese and Chinese. There are things that I’m able to see alone that I wasn’t able to see as one of the other members. I gained weight during our last album and didn’t notice it but now I see those things clearly.”
- Your Korean comeback is set for November. How is that coming along? “It’s still in the production process. I’ll work hard to make sure it doesn’t get delayed past this year.”
- You’re the first of the SS501 members to officially announce your Chinese activities. What was your main concern? “I thought that being given the opportunity to work with these people was a rare chance. The Hallyu wave is becoming stronger than ever in the Asian market. I was worried up until the last moment, actually. Sony Music put a lot of faith in me which is why I decided to go through with it.”
- Will it be more difficult to see you in Korea after this year? “I’m going to be staying in Korea this year for as long as possible. However, I must go overseas next year for my drama. I am hoping to participate in OSTs and whatnot, though. “
- Do you have anything you’d like to say to your fans? “I’ll remain as the Jung Min they always knew, so please wait for me. I’ll be meeting them all soon with a brand new image.”

[30/09] Jung Min held a Press Conference in Taiwan
Credits to sonybmg.com.tw + (English translation) ss501ode.blogspot.com

Korean idol group SS501 member Park Jungmin came to Taiwan alone to hold his worldwide premiere conference as he officially announces his contract with Sony Music Taiwan. Park Jungmin who empowers high popularity does not reflect signs of any decrease in popularity where fans buy cars to chase after his vehicle etc, showing a huge sight. Park Jungmin had just signed on to CNR MEDIA at end of August in Korea, and in beginning of September he has also announced to be invading the Japanese musical markets, whilst on 30th he has now arrived in Taiwan to hold his worldwide premiere press conference where he officially announces his plans to invade into the entire world.
Under the planning of Sony Music, Park Jungmin will have collaborations in drama and music. At the same time, during this day's press conference, Sony Music's CEO for central china region Choi Jin-dong (Taiwanese, chi-krn transliteral) ssi has also presented a hugely expensive glass of art titled [Hero spreads his wings]. This glass of art is only limited to 860 pieces in the world, with this old owl spreading out his strong wings so proudly as he takes to the high skies, it shall represent the ascending of Park Jungmin as a part of Korea's top idol group SS501 to the skies, and under further love of huge group of fans in Korea, Japan, China etc, he sets off with a brand new status. With his announcement to invade Taiwan and into the Asian markets, it is expected that Park Jungmin will have more diverse developments in his showbiz career and that he will continue to shine brighter in the international markets as he shall carve out a new sky of his own.
Park Jungmin's been to Taiwan many times but his thoughts this time is different. Though he is developing alone now, Park Jungmin brings with him the attitude of exceeding himself to challenge for the limit and holds along that firm stand and attitude to carve out his sky in Taiwan. Park Jungmin who has a language flair began to yak in Mandarin non-stop the moment he arrived in Taiwan. He sees camera-men holding the cameras and will start asking for the pronunciation of camera in Mandarin. He could possibly see anything at all and ask for its pronunciation. His high curiosity indeed awes the staff there on his high energy level. Even for his luggage, he even came out of the room to move his luggage into the room by himself after it's been delivered to his hotel doorstep. Such a friendly attitude of his is much well loved as he shows no air at all and even sends greetings to fans one by one. On his way to his hotel, he even pulled down the car window to greet with the fans warmingly, shouting words like "I love you all", "I will die without you all" etc; one of his wishes with his trip to Taiwan this time is to take a thorough shopping across Taipei and wishes to experience the nightlife of Taipei. Park Jungmin expresses that after he comes to Taiwan, there will be lots of matters for him to pick up, so he asks for everybody's support and encouragement.
On the press conference also came Lin Yu-chun (little fatty; nickname), he took out time amidst his busy schedule to welcome this Korean junior of his. Little Fatty excclaimed, "I've finally got a junior! I've heard that Park Jungmin loves hamburgers!" after which Lin Yu-chun also presented to Jungmin his english album and an encouragement handkerchief along with an "extra large burger", sharing with Jungmin his happiness being an international star. Little Fatty expresses, "If I have a chance I will definitely bring Park Jungmin to taste the many palatable delicacy of Taiwan's. Will also introduce the many famous and exciting places to Jungmin, to let him feel the passion and sentiments of Taiwanese".

[30/09] Playful Kiss' ratings for Episode 9
Credits to asiae.co.kr + (English translation) ss501ode.blogspot.com
MBC Wed-Thurs drama 'Playful Kiss' is now showing signs of its stationary status.
On the 30th, according to ratings research center AGB Nilson Media Researches, Playful Kiss that aired on 29th night recorded nationwide ratings of 4.5%.
This number is actually 1.3% lower than its last episode broadcasted on 23rd with 5.8%.
Such a sight shown could be seen as a result of the verging against the very first broadcast of KBS2 'Fugitive PLAN B' starring Jung Jihoon (Rain), Lee Nayoung etc.
In reality, this day's 'Fugitive' recorded ratings of 20.7%, with such high ratings recorded on its first ever broadcast, it shows the amount of support it receives from audiences.
Albeit the low ratings for Playful Kiss, actors Kim HyunJoong and Jung Somin have been dwelving alot of hard work into their characters, so there is much anticipation to how this will work out lke in days to come.
On the other hand, on this day's same timing slot on SBS, 'My girlfriend is Gumiho' recorded nationwide ratings of 16.6%.
Credits to morningnews.co.kr + (English translation) ss501ode.blogspot.com
On the 30th, according to ratings research center TNmS, KBS2 new Wed-thurs drama 'Fugitive PLAN B' that began airing on 29th starring Rain, Lee Nayoung has recorded 21.7% of drama ratings as it claims the Number 1 spot amongst Wed-Thurs dramas beginning since its first ever telecast.
During the same timing slot also included SBS 'My girlfriend is Gumiho' with 18.6% of ratings. Whilst MBC 'Playful Kiss' recorded low ratings of 4%.
With 'Fugitive' exceeding the 20% ratings as it becomes the hot-cake in demand like this, this could be credited to the luxurious casting with people like the successor of previous 'Baker King Kim Tak Goo' - Rain, Lee Nayoung etc, in addition to that also comes 'Chuno' 's solid combination of Chun Sung-il and Kwak Jung-hwan, which is probably why anticipation for this drama is reflected like this in its ratings.
On the other hand, on this day's 'Fugitive' also featured cameos like 'Chuno' 's Lee Da Hae, Oh Ji Ho, Kwak Hyun-hwa etc that added on to the intensity level of this drama.
